Know Thyself. These are the wonderful words in the entrance to Apollo’s Temple in Delphi. Arguably this is the most important and valuable undertaking for anyone to embark upon. Learning about yourself gives you the opportunities to re-evaluate your thinking and behaviour. It’s the light of self awareness that gives you real choice. Without self awareness, we are simply a series of reactions that are usually determined from inherited thinking.
Begin to notice how you think and react in different situations. Notice your mind set and then ask yourself the question whether there is better one that more accurately reflects who you choose to be. If there is, then choose to think and behave from your chosen mind set. Notice the impact of your new way of seeing the world. There is huge power and creative reinvention in this practice. Enjoy!
